Do you think the significance of sloths in the beginning will give a foretaste of something yet to come? If so, what?
Will somebody later in the book represent or symbolize the sloth? Will they symbolize this animal with a collected, mellow personality? Or, will someone represent the sloth in a negative way and reflect it through laziness?
What do you think will happen to each of the animals? What might happen to PI? Will he ever get rescued? Why did the hyena attack the zebra instead of Pi?
What do you think Richard Parker will do to Pi? Do you think that the prusten, the puff through the nose to express friendliness and harmless intentions, will have a meaning at all?
Do you think that something that happened earlier in the book was a symbol for Pi's interview? Now that we know the full story, what do you think the sloth represents?

ReplyDeleteI was confused at the end of the book, when Pi told two different stories during the interview. Which story actually happened?
ReplyDeleteWhat religion do you think Pi becomes after the story? He had many as a kid which would be confusing later in life.
